Is care at home as good as in a dental office?
Yes, for most needs. Dr. Nath brings a portable dental unit, portable X-ray, and suction. Most procedures that can be done in a dental office can be done at home, with some case-by-case exceptions. If something truly needs an office, we'll tell you honestly.
Do you bring X-rays?
Yes. We use a handheld digital X-ray at the bedside or chair.
What do you need in the home?
Just a room with electricity and a bit of light. A bed, recliner, or wheelchair is fine — we work around the patient.
How much does a home visit cost?
The home visit fee is $350 on Long Island and $500 in NYC and Westchester. Elsewhere in New York: call for a quote. Covers the dentist's travel, setup, exam and X-rays. Paid as the deposit when you book and applied to your balance. Cleaning is $350, a filling is $500, an extraction is $1,200 and a denture (any type) is $3,500, including all fitting visits and two adjustment visits. Every fee includes the exam and X-rays from your home visit. You get a written price before any work starts, and the price you're quoted is the price you pay.
Do you take insurance?
We do not participate with any insurance plans. You pay us directly. We will then help you seek reimbursement: we prepare and submit the claim to your dental plan or, for patients certified homebound by their physician, to your medical plan, so that any reimbursement is paid directly to you.
Do you take Medicaid or Medicare?
We don't participate with Medicaid, Medicare, or any other plan. You pay us directly, and we prepare and submit the claim for you so any reimbursement goes straight to you.
Is financing available?
Yes. We offer Cherry financing, which has a high approval rate and no hard credit check.
Can you treat someone with dementia?
Yes. Being at home in familiar surroundings often helps. Dr. Nath goes slowly, takes breaks, and works with family or aides who know the patient best.
What if my parent refuses or gets upset?
We never force treatment. We'll try a calm approach, take breaks, or come back another day. Sometimes just an exam is a good first visit.
What about dentures?
We make new dentures and repair, reline, and adjust existing ones — often the biggest comfort improvement for seniors.
How soon can you come?
For pain or emergencies we try to come within a few days. Routine visits are usually scheduled within one to two weeks.
Who can be present during the visit?
Anyone the patient wants — family, an aide, or a nurse. We welcome caregivers and often teach them home-care tips.
