Nursing home dental services on Long Island and in NYC
Dental care without the ambulette
Sending a resident out for dental care takes staff time, transportation and often a family member. For residents with dementia or limited mobility, the trip itself can be distressing. As a result, dental problems are often found late, when they are already causing pain, poor eating or infection.
Dr. Sunny Nath, DDS brings the dental office to your building. He treats residents in their room, at the bedside or in their wheelchair, with a portable X-ray, suction and a full dental setup.
On-site care for facilities
- Exams, X-rays and oral cancer screening
- Cleanings and treatment of sore or bleeding gums
- Fillings, crowns, extractions and root canals
- New dentures, relines, repairs and adjustments — including lost or broken dentures
- Prompt visits for residents in pain
- Home-care instruction for aides and nursing staff
Working with your team and families
We coordinate with nursing staff and with each resident's family or healthcare proxy. Treatment is explained in plain English, consent is obtained from the resident or their proxy, and every fee is quoted in writing before any work begins. After each visit, staff receive written aftercare instructions.
The home visit fee is $350 on Long Island and $500 in New York City and Westchester. It covers travel, setup, the exam and X-rays, and you get a written price before any treatment starts. We do not participate with any insurance plans. You pay us directly, and we prepare and submit the claim so any reimbursement is paid directly to you.
